"See Y'all Again" is a song past American country music artist Carrie Underwood. It was written by Underwood, Hillary Lindsey, and David Hodges. It was released as the fourth and final single from Underwood's fourth studio album, Diddled Away, on April 15, 2013. Underwood announced the single on her official Twitter account.[1]

Underwood debuted the song on the twelfth flavour of American Idol on Apr four, 2013.[2] "See You Again" is Underwood's eighteenth sequent Top 10 unmarried on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and is also her seventeenth single to exist certified at to the lowest degree Gold by the RIAA. As of December 2013, the unmarried has sold 740,000 copies in the United States.[three] On Baronial 10, 2015, "Come across You Again" was officially certified as Platinum.[4]

"See You Again" tells the story of moving onwards subsequently experiencing the death of a loved 1 in life. The vocal has received positive reviews from music critics. Billboard.com described the song to be "truly a taste of heaven."[two] Kevin John Coyne of Country Universe included the song in his personal favorite tracks from the Blown Abroad studio album in the website'southward 2012 year-terminate inaugural of editors' favorite Country albums of the year,[6] as did Matt Bjorke of Roughstock for their album inaugural.[seven] Liv Carter of Urban Land News gave the song a "thumbs upwards", adding "what pulls it over the line however, and presumably why it has become a fan-favorite, is its sincerity in wishing to bring comfort and Underwood's confident performance."[viii] Jonathan Keefe of Camber Magazine was less favorable, maxim that "the chorus of ability ballad "See You Once more" is marred by dated, campy arena-stone clichés."[nine]

The song debuted at No. lx on the United states of america Land Airplay nautical chart for the week of Apr 13, 2013,[10] and peaked at No. two for the nautical chart dated September 7, 2013.[11] Information technology entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. xc for the nautical chart dated May eighteen, 2013,[12] and peaked at No. 34 for the chart of August 31, 2013.[xiii] It also peaked at No.seven on the Hot Country Songs chart on August 24, 2013. As of December 2013, the single has sold 740,000 copies in the United states.[iii]

On August 10, 2022 "See You Again" was officially certified as Platinum.[4]

Alive Performances [edit]

Underwood performed the song in May 2022 during an episode of American Idol in which she mentored the height five contestants.[14] The vocal was included in the setlist for the Cry Pretty Bout.[15]

On June 7, 2013, Proficient Morning America gave a starting time await for the music video for "See You Once again". The total video premiered soon afterward on ABCNews.com.[17] The music video was directed by Eric Welch.[18] It showed the aftermaths of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, the September 11 attacks and the 2013 Moore, Oklahoma, tornado, forth with various reunions.
